Volunteer Opportunities!

Posted by on September 26, 2012

First, let me say thank you to all those who attended our Taco John’s Fundraiser Fiesta! We greatly appreciate all the support that we have received from our community!

If you are interested in ways to get involved with Best Friends Mentoring Program, we have some upcoming events that we would love you to help with!

Community Service Day – September 29th

Held at the Prairie Hills Mall on September 29th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., we will have an informational table to raise awareness of BFMP. We are looking for individuals who would be will to sit at our table and share information about our program with our community, whether it be an hour or all day.

We will also be having a bake sale at the Community Service Day. If you would like to bake something, please let us know, and have your baked goods brought to the office by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 28th.

DSU Homecoming Parade – October 6th

Best Friends is having a barrel train in the DSU Homecoming Parade, “Hawk to the Future.” We need you to walk in the parade with us and raise awareness of our program.

Boo-tacular Bake Sale – October 13th

We will be hosting a Halloween bake sale fundraiser on October 13th. We are looking for bakers interested in making some delicious baked goods, as well as people who would like to sit and sell baked goods and share information about the Best Friends Mentoring Program.

If you have any questions about these volunteer events, or would like to sign up for an event, please give Best Friends a call at 701-483-8615.

Thank you,
